Sunday started out with a three-and-a-half hour drive from Hood River to Leavenworth. The drive was really pretty and when we got the campground I knew it was going to be a great night. When Max and I got there we had lunch and then went to check out the Icicle River. No wonder they call it the Icicle river, it really did feel like an icicle! I asked Dad to get the bikes out so we could explore the campsite. I saw a few short singletracks and of course I went down them. It got later and we went down to the town of Leavenworth. We went to a ton of different shops and boy, it looked like Germany. They even had carriages that would carry people around. When we got back Max and I wanted to make a singletrack of our own. We did and then pretended that we were doing races. The track was about 100 feet long when we were done. I worked on it while Max was wheeling his bike up so it was dirt instead of pine needles. We timed each other and saw who was the fastest. My record time was 7.09 seconds. It was so fun that we didn’t want to go to bed. Sunday Fun Day was a wonderful day and I think the singletrack was the best part!
