After we went on a really early plane to Portugal we rented a car and drove to a little beach town called Almograve. The town of Almograve was really, really tiny with only three restaurants and a grocery store. The first night we had a seafood dinner and the second night we had Nepalese food. The beaches were really pretty and we knew we would be swimming a lot there. The only full day that we were there, we went to two different beaches. The first one was out on the cliffs and you had to walk down steps to get there. I liked the first one better because there were not many rocks when you went swimming and there were a ton of little pools. Max, Mom and I played soccer too.
The second one was way more rocky but we found a spot where there weren’t many rocks. Dad made a maze in the sand and everyone made it through except me so I got angry and stormed off! The water was cold at both beaches but I managed to get all the way under. Dad went out the back and bodysurfed a couple of times too. I really liked the little town of Almograve because everyone knew each other there!
Nicely written Lilia, like having your own private beaches. Thank you for your cheeky postcard!
