We hiked in the Dolomites Monday and Wednesday, but I am just going to talk about Monday.
On Monday we left in the morning and drove out to the Dolomites in our little Toyota car. When we got there we parked and walked up a fire road about one mile and then walked into a field with lots of cow pies. When we walked out of the field we realized that we were on a ranch! Let’s see, there were cows, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits, geese, chickens, ducks, and a dog. There was also a cafe that was serving all kinds of stuff. We went through the ranch and hiked a little bit more on the fire road and then turned to go over a bridge and onto a singletrack. It was a singletrack for a long time with big turns and lots of roots that got you up to the top. At the top there was another cafe called Rifugio Treviso. The view was amazing from up there! When we started going down we felt some drops of rain, so we put our rain coats on. Then it started pouring! I love hiking in the rain because its more of an adventure. When the rain stopped we made our way down and then drove back home and had warm takeaway pizza for dinner!
