Dune du Pilat

The Dune du Pilat is a huge sand dune in Arcachon. Mom did not come though because she was visiting wineries. It is steep on one side and mellow on the other. Lilia and I sprinted down the mellow side of the dune to the beach. The water was warm and the sand was sticky. Lilia and I dug a ball course to roll balls down. There was a big sand ledge that Lilia and I jumped and slid off of.

We also went to a wine museum with mom but dad did not come, it was called Cité du Vin. The things I learned were:

1. That you can make white wine with red grapes
2. That some vines go under ground then come back up to make a new vine
3. I learned I don’t like the smell of old books
