In northern Wales I had a new experience and got to go to a soccer game (the game was actually in England). The teams playing were Stoke FC, which was home, versus Blackburn. When we got to the soccer game the temperature was 2°C/34°F and the soccer players were playing in shorts and a t-shirt! Lilia and I got our faces painted and a hot chocolate that warmed up our hands but sadly not our feet because at the end of the game I felt like I had frostbite, but thankfully I did not! The fans that were cheering for Blackburn stood up the entire game blocked by an empty section of seats and 40 police just in case a fight broke out. They were chanting and singing lots of songs. Blackburn scored one goal, and sadly Stoke didn’t score any. It was a cool new experience.

So fun to go to a live “footie” game with a lot of energy in the air. I wish some of that warm air could have been pumped into your shoes!
